Join our team as a Machine Operator at our state-of-the-art poultry production facility. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ground lines for product packaging. Your responsibilities will include setting up machines and monitoring equipment to maintain top-notch product quality.   • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to GMPs and PPE policies
  • Set up machines before shifts, including blade changes as needed
  • Ensure the correct meat is loaded onto the appropriate production line
  • Keep ground lines well-stocked to minimize downtime
  • Develop a solid understanding of the equipment in the Ground Tray area and its functions
  • Operate machines by pushing buttons and manipulating levers
  • Conduct temperature and metal detector checks and complete necessary paperwork
  • Comply with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and federal standards for food safety and quality
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and follow directions
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned
  • Ability to read and comprehend customer orders and product mixes Capability to push/pull Vmags (Containers filled with ground meat) to and from production lines
  • Proficiency in completing department forms accurately
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to follow instructions
  • Physical stamina for tasks involving walking, standing, and lifting 40-60 pounds
  • Near acuity for clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Manual dexterity to operate machinery by pushing buttons and pulling levers
  • Capability to work from elevated platforms and climb stairs (approximately 4 feet)
  • Tolerance for exposure to fluorescent lights and cold temperatures (40 degrees)
