We’re hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic position in Center Hill, FL. The role involves conducting machine setup, repairs, and maintenance for production equipment and the facility. Responsibilities include fixing equipment, performing preventive maintenance, installing machinery, inspecting systems, and collaborating with other departments. The ideal candidate should have mechanical skills, knowledge of welding, electrical, and plumbing, and be able to use common tools. Good work ethic, attention to detail, and communication skills are important. Additional skills in areas like refrigeration systems and food processing are a plus. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of machinery and equipment in the facility.Including: • Setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance for the facility and equipment. • Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines as needed. • Performing preventative maintenance to ensure proper functioning of equipment. • Installing and ensuring proper removal of equipment, machinery, and parts. • Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems. • Collaborating between departments regarding maintenance issues. • Checking product quality and identifying visual defects. • Performing other assigned duties related to maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift. • Manual dexterity for handling objects and operating machinery. • Physical agility for walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and repetitive motions. • Capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds. • Good vision, including close vision, color, peripheral, and ability to adjust focus. • 1 year of food processing experience preferred. • 3 years of mechanical knowledge required. • Proficiency in mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions. • Knowledge of welding, electrical work, and plumbing. • Familiarity with common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches. • Punctuality and reliability. • Strong work ethic and attention to detail. • Effective communication skills (written and verbal). • Willingness to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Additional Skills (desirable): • Experience with ammonia/refrigeration systems. • Electrical knowledge. • General understanding of production plant equipment and processes.
