  • Ensure a thorough understanding of electrical principles and safety regulations
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of 3-phase motors, motor controls, contactors, overloads, and circuit breakers
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings to troubleshoot and repair complex process machines
  • Exhibit proficiency in working with PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs
  • Program Allen Bradley PLCs, including SLC, Control Logix, and Compact Logix, using RSLogix 500 and 5000 Programming software with digital, analog, and PID instructions
  • Write PLC code for a new production line, including a start sequence, device list, and detailed theory of operation, encompassing control of line speed, process temperature, motor load, hopper levels, and product weight integration
  • Develop easy-to-understand documentation for ladder logic and create detailed CAD drawings for troubleshooting and installation purposes
  • Design and construct process line system control panels, including PLC, main breaker, motor starters, overloads, VFDs, and soft starts for motors ranging from 2hp to 400hp, based on a detailed device and motor list.
  • Use CAD software to generate control drawings and panel layout templates.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical principles and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in meeting local, state, and national electrical code standards
