• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure smooth business and production operations. • Disassemble machinery and equipment for parts replacement and repairs. • Inspect parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear. • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment. • Work in various departments within the processing plant environment, including cold and damp conditions. • Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery as needed. • Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing, or repairs. • Organize tasks effectively and monitor the quality of work being performed. • Provide emergency response within 30 minutes during non-working hours. • Maintain cleanliness in work areas, work benches, and break rooms. • Ensure a safe work environment by addressing and eliminating unsafe acts or conditions. • Proficiently handle cutting and welding, hydraulics, filter systems, pipe fitting/plumbing, shop equipment operation, sheet metal fabrication, pneumatics, electrical wiring, and motors. • Independently manage maintenance tasks in specific plant areas, such as receiving, picking room, evisceration debone, Cryovac or tray pack areas. • Participate in and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and federal standards related to food safety and quality guidelines. • Perform all aspects of Plant Maintenance C as required. • Assist with other responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.
• Post-secondary certification in a related field with 3-5 years of experience, or equivalent education and experience. • Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools, precision instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices. • Strong problem-solving skills and basic mathematical abilities. • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks for efficient maintenance operations.
